The staff was super friendly and the kids loved it. The room was spacious and nice and cleaned every day. We enjoyed the breakfast and even used the cooking facilities!! We would definitely come again!

Perfect Weekendstay

In general, it's pretty bad. The simple double room is very small, without the slightest detail. Small and uncomfortable beds. Very uncomfortable mattresses. No TV. Bathroom with pipe smell and beautiful views in a 2m2 indoor courtyard where the bathroom pipes are located. Very noisy and lightly lit. If you hear everything that happens in the hallway. The only good thing is that it's on the gracious sidewalk, everything else is much worse than what you sell on their website. Cleanliness is rather scarce. Expensive for what it is.

The only good thing is the situation.

We stayed for two nights and that was enough in possibly the worst room in the building.
Firstly the good points, location is good being only about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Barcelona.Secondly, the staff were very helpful and friendly and thirdly, the room was clean.
We were a party of three with three single beds within a room about 10 foot square with a small window with frosted glass looking into a light well which was dingy and not too clean. The light well  seemed to have a loads of bathrooms backing onto it with constant noises of toilets flushing and sinks/baths emptying constantly which kept us awake and woke us up early each morning.
We twice asked for more pillows which did not arrive so had to use towels under the only pillow supplied to help make a reasonably comfortable bed usable.
The bathroom was a good size and clean with fresh towels but that where it stops. It is only divided from the bedroom with a glass door and glass screen which was frosted and offered very little privacy. We had to each leave the bedroom to allow at least the privacy required as the bathroom was very visible from the bedroom with a light on and absolutely no  soundproofing so nothing was left to your imagination. 
I know this is classed as a hostel but a decent standard of privacy in your accommodation is the least what you would expect.
For £200.00 for two nights stay for three people I would not expect this standard.
I don,t think this room, 405 is on this site in the picture gallery and is possibly the worst room I have stayed in.
I cannot comment on the other amenities that was on offer as we did not use them but by the other reviews other people seemed to enjoy there stay.

Good location but poor room

Great service- friendly staff. Arrived a couple of hours before check in but we were able to check in early and leave our bags in a locked store room for a few hours while we went to explore for a few hours before picking up our keys. 

Bar is beautiful and common areas are all nicely decorated. We didn't seem to find all the rooms but there's loads of areas to relax if you wanted to.  

Stayed in a private double room with balcony and private bathroom for four nights. Rooms are nice, not high quality but functional and comfortable. The bathrooms are really nice with a decent shower. All very clean. 

There is quite a lot of noise from the main roads outside (we were on the 3rd floor)  but we got used to it quite quickly. Light sleepers may struggle - go for a back room without a balcony if you need silence to sleep! Walls are thin too so you can hear people in the rooms next to you. 

Breakfast is 7euro in advance or 8euro on the day. We had it twice and it was all fresh and good value for money with good vegetarian options. Coffee was pretty undrinkable. There is a nice cafe a couple of doors up with good coffee and breakfast if you wanted to go somewhere else. 

Location is good - on a very safe, upmarket street. The area isn't touristy. There's a tube station very near which makes getting about easy and if you don't mind walking you can get to the middle of the Gothic Quarter within 20-25 minutes. Lots of good bars and restaurants nearby so you can easily stay local if you wanted to. 

Would highly recommend a private room if you're looking for a hotel experience on a budget.

Double rooms make great budget stay in Barcelona.

When I checked in there was some confusion despite an email I received in advance, so the whole process lasted about half an hour. My room was absolutely impossible. It was a single room with a wheelchair. The equipment consisted exclusively of a bed and a shelf at the top of the bed. The stone floor is very pretty, however, it is sprinkled with sprinkles and of dubious color. The curtains cannot be drawn in the evening, as they then cover the lamp at the bed. Since the room goes to the lighthouse, everyone else can go to the rooms. In the shower there is a very uncleaned sitting area that can't be completely cleaned. So the shower is quite clean. The floor is rented in a shallow shape. The curtains can't be drawn in the evening, because they then cover the lamp at the bed. Impossible room in best condition

This was my first visit to Spain and one of the best hostel experiences I ever had. I upgraded myself for 30 Euro a night to a superior double room and it was awesome. I had a queen size bed (yes it was simply two twins pushed together) with a private balcony overlooking Avenua de Diagonal and Passeig de Gracia the major thoroughfares in Barcelona. So there was some street noise, but it brought life into my stay and some white noise for sleeping. I actually slept with the giant french door of the balcony opened all night. Which was needed as my only negative was the A/C is a bit weak. I love the room, halls, front desk, it  feels right at home for the area as everything is in 1900-20s vibe and tres chic. The area is high class with Gaudi homes, top shops like LV, Prada, Cartier, and more. Restaurants off the main street are local and not touristy and I felt safe at all times. There was no tv in the room, but hey you didnt come on vacation for TV and the balcony provided enough entertainment for me. The bathroom is clean and modern, albeit the shower head is in need of tightening as it came off on me during the stay. Housekeeping, yes housekeeping is spot on with soap, towels, bed making every morning. 

If you want the socializing and hostel experience stay in one of their dorms, but if you want a cheap alternative to stuffy hotels then I would stay here again. There is breakfast for 7euro prepaid or 8euro at the door every morning that is convenient and alright, but there are cool little restaurants outside too. There is a library, yoga/relaxation room, a funky bar/basement, patio, and a tapas bar completing the hotel. 

In short, friendly staff, spartan rooms, but clean and functional, great design, hostel if you want, privacy of a hotel if you want.

What a Hostel Should Be

This hotel/hostel is incredible. I stayed 4 days and were perfect. Full and luxurious breakfast. Large and comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and willing to help. Excellent location. I love it and if I return to Barcelona I will definitely stay here.

Spectacular 

I stayed with my family (two adults and two children) for two nights and we paid 380 dollars every night without breakfast. When we arrived we were taken to the room in the building next door, that is, when the reception was in another building. In the room there was no WiFi or TV. We tried to communicate, but they had no phones, so we could get off, go out to the street and just get to the reception. On average we offered about a maintenance person who realized that the TV had no wine transformer (no checking rooms before delivery) and asked for a quick answer.

A nice place, a good hotel room, a good price - quality.

I didn't stay at the hostel but I did go to their bars and they look great, I thought they would serve much more expensive drinks but they're very expensive and they also give you a drink.

Bares are brilliant.

I can only imagine having a cup of coffee, but the place is of exquisite taste, the decoration is spectacular and transports you to the childhood, it also sleeps and I suppose that although by location it is very good, although here I can say nothing since I go to my house to sleep, which is next door.
