Well, to begin with, the room was comfortable and normal in terms of decoration, the food was nothing of the other world very basic. The bathroom was clean and new and white, no tiles from 1600 B.C. The bed was comfortable, although we were standing in front of the street no noise of the city disturbed us, that if the reception closed at 6:00 p.m. and the area is no good for parking, according to our experience. One day we were robbed of the rearview mirror of the car as well as the car that was right in front of us, and the next day we tried to park the car right on the side of the street in our room to be more attentive and nothing happened that night but, if the rearview mirror was stolen from another car that was parked on the other side of the street where we ended up before, the car was stolen (less than the car) where we slept for two days or so, we could not leave the car in front of the garage or repair the car for three nights or so, and then we could not see the car for three hundred yards.

The staff on arrival didn't speak German. The furnishings of the room were old and in poor condition, and it was very loud. WiFi should be there but it didn't work. When asked, we got only unfriendly answers. The showers and toilets are on the hallway and can be shared with other guests. When asked about another room, there was no friendly information. Then the hotel was changed, the second night had to be paid in full. Absolutely nothing can be reached in this hotel! We needed the bill for the second (not used) night. After already 2 mails and several calls, we still have no bill. The phone bill is personally friendly and partly offensive.

Disaster

Before arrival: booking a normal room including bathroom and toilet in the room (via Booking.com) Encourage: room itself ok, but no toilet, no bathroom - on the floor only a toilet, but no bathroom??? I slept well, the bed was ok and the room clean.. in the morning the first meeting with the staff: very bad knowledge of German and very rude.. will never go back here and recommend it to anyone!!

What a disaster!

The hotel is older than its construction years, but it is quite fulfilling its purpose. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is very quiet and has its own parking space, which is rather a rarity in Berlin. The service was totally nice and the breakfast was in line with the standard. You should not expect anything great, but there were eggs, pancakes, cereal, sausage and cheese, yogurt, fruit etc... everything included in the price. I thought it was really okay!

Nice and cheap hotel

Quiet idyllic location, 10 min walk to the S-Bahn station Lightfield East (25) rooms convenient but nothing special breakfast rich, coffee in cans for every table, sausage, broth, pancakes - very tasty however the breakfast staff was very unattended during our stay. When we arrived we took the last 2 pancakes - and after 1 hour, yes we have breakfast always so long, we had to ask if we could get any more money (then 4 pancakes were laid out). But unfortunately this hotel didn't have anything for young people. The W-Lan signal is so modest that we have to sit at the train desk to receive it!!! It took until they had settled down before.

For the night, all right.

Three people in a three-bedroom for 95,- € including breakfast sounds ok at first. Clearly, you shouldn't expect too much. But a certain claim to SAUBERKEIT should be standard with commercial landlords. Turning off the night table lamp (hot) with a towel because the switch is at an unattainable distance behind the bed, definitely doesn't go so far (fire hazard). Curtain walls shortly before falling down, curtains themselves hardly cleaned for a few years, the whole thing creates an impression of excessive lack of affection. Four points for good breakfast, rich, fresh, and coffee from the vending machine.

Accommodation for concert

Bedroom in annex, two doors from hotel and up 66 steps of stairs. No lift.  Reception area only open to 6 PM. Room furnishings are very basic and the floor of the shower tray is so smooth and one could slip very easily.

Avoid at all costs

I booked this hotel because it's not far from the venue for the lacrosse championship, which is called the Berlin Open, and it was exactly what I needed: it was not very expensive and included the cost of breakfast. And the best thing was that the field could be reached on foot. The rooms are very small, and as one of the reviews noted, it was very uncomfortable to come to the hotel and find that it was closed when my flight was delayed. The letter on the door about the late check-in was in German, and when I called the English number, the communication was very bad and it was impossible to talk. Despite all this, I managed to get to my common room, and the staff was very friendly and kind.

Great location for the Berlin Open.

I booked this due to its proximity to the lacrosse tournament known as the Berlin Open, and it was just what I was looking for; fairly inexpensive and breakfast is included, best of all it's walking distance to the fields.

Rooms are very small, and as one reviewer noted it is a frustrating experience to arrive at the hotel and find the place locked up. My flight was delayed and the letter for after hours check-in posted on the door was in German, and when calling the English phone number the reception was awful and I couldn't communicate.

That being said, with some patience I was able to get in my room and the staff was very warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet, while somewhat plain and minimal, was thoroughly enjoyable, the bed was comfortable, the free Wi-fi was slow but reliable, and the shared bathroom was what you'd expect.

So overall, it's a no-frills hotel but very comfortable and if you're just looking for a home base from which to enjoy the Berlin Open, or explore Berlin, it is very functional. It's a short walk to the trains and you can be in the heart of Berlin in 20 min.

The rooms are very small, and as someone else has already talked about, it's frustrating to get there and face the door. My flight was delayed and the information plate was pinned to the door in German, and when I called the number that answered in English, the reception was horrible and didn't let me speak. That said, with some patience I was able to get to my room, and the staff were very attentive and kind.
